Eco Friendly Gloves Wholesale in China: 2026 Buying Guide
20 Oct, 2026

The Chinese Eco Friendly Gloves Wholesale market will favor products with verifiable attributes in 2026. Documents will also need to back up sustainability claims. As the law advances, the need for strict sustainability documentation will expand.
At NMSafety, we see five key areas that impact the decisions of customers: material traceability, protective performance, coating technology, regulatory compliance and lifecycle purchase cost.
Commencing 27 September 2026, EU Directive (EU) 2024/825, improves environmental claim substantiation and safeguards for consumers.
From 12 August 2026, the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation, which will entail the introduction of new requirements stepwise.
From 31 December 2026, the changes to the Global Recycled Standard (GRS) and Recycled Content Standard (RCS) will include increased requirements to monitor and verify the reclaimed materials.
From 31 December 2026, changes to Wholesale Eco Friendly Gloves from China will also mean the introduction of stricter Environmental claims in the supply chain.
Purchasers must recognize the difference between:
• Recycled content: Verified reclaimed materials in the product.
• Bio-based content: Content that comes from renewable or biological sources.
• Biodegradability: Breakdown of materials in specific conditions.
• Recyclability: The ability of a material to be reprocessed to make a new material.
Not all gloves are created equally just because a liner is made of recycled polyester, it does not make a nitrile glove recyclable.
Which Materials Will Define Eco-Friendly Work Gloves?
Material selection affects both environmental characteristics and functional performance. In our NMSafety range, different fiber constructions address different handling requirements.
Glove Material
Technical Characteristics
Suitable Applications
RPET Polyester
Recycled PET yarn with flexible knitted construction
Warehousing, general handling
Bio-Based Nylon
Partly renewable feedstock with flexible fiber properties
Assembly, precision handling
Bamboo-Derived Fiber
Cellulose-based material; comfort depends on processing
Light-duty handling
RPET + HPPE + Glass Fiber
Recycled yarn combined with cut-resistant reinforcement
Glass, metal and component handling
How Do Yarn Structure and Knitting Gauge Affect Performance?
Gauge can impact density and thickness of a fabric. It can also impact how sensitive a fabric is to touch. However, higher gauge doesn't mean better protection.
For example, NY1350S-ECO has a 13-gauge RPET polyester liner with a sandy nitrile coating, and NY1850FRB-BIO has an 18-gauge bio-based nylon/spandex liner with microfoam nitrile.
The bio-based nylon in NY1850FRB-BIO contains 48% bio-based material, which comes from corn husks and stalks. This percentage, however, only applies to the nylon, and not to the complete glove.
Buyers should also confirm recycled-content calculations by material weight, particularly when gloves contain multiple fibers and polymer coatings.
Can Sustainable Gloves Meet Industrial Protection Requirements?
Recycled fibers alone do not determine mechanical protection. Glove performance results from the interaction between yarn composition, knitting construction, coating adhesion, and reinforcement materials.
Coating Technology and Mechanical Resistance

Wet/Oily Grip

Gauge, liner elasticity and coating flexibility
Handling tests
Cold Protection
Thermal liner construction
EN 511 where applicable
Microfoam nitrile offers a fine textured gripping surface for use in various assembly and handling operations. Sandy nitrile provides a textured surface for use with wet and/or oily components. Other latex coatings provide various grip characteristics, but their use will depend on the working environment.
Recycled Fibers and Cut Resistant Construction
The DY1350F-ECO is made with a 13-gauge RPET polyester liner, HPPE, glass fiber and a microfoam nitrile coating.
It is marked 4X42C with level 4 abrasion resistance and ISO 13997 cut level C.
HPPE's ability to add cutting resistance to a mechanically protective construction, all while not using recycled fibers, further supports the trend of recycled polyester's increasing versatility.
To play nice in the sandbox, of course.
• Warehousing: requires a lot of support and resistance to abrasion. It needs to be breathable.
• Handling Metal/Glass: requires a lot of cut resistance.
• Assembly: requires a dexterous, glove-like fit.
• Cold: requires insulation.
What About Sustainability and Compliance?
Chinese eco-friendly glove manufacturers obtain environmental certification and PPE conformity assessment separately.
Standard / Document
Verification Purpose
GRS / RCS
Recycled material content and traceability
EN 388
Mechanical protection performance
EN ISO 21420
General protective glove requirements
EN 511
Cold protection performance
EU Declaration of Conformity
Applicable EU PPE regulatory conformity
GRS certification does not establish cut resistance, while EN 388 results do not verify recycled content.
When placing bulk orders, customers should ask for the following:
• Evidence of recycled content for each material.
• Model specific test reports and conformity documents.
• Certification scope and transaction records.
• Approved production samples and size specifications.
• Batch inspection criteria for coating defects, dimensions and workmanship.
For cut-resistant products, the ISO 13997 test report should be for the same construction as the purchased product.
How to Evaluate Eco Friendly Gloves Wholesale in China?
Balancing the above factors determines the total cost of the purchase.
OEM Procurement and Production Consistency
Purchasing Factor
Evaluation Focus
Material
Recycled percentage and yarn composition
Performance
Required EN 388 ratings and application trials
OEM
Logo, color, packaging and construction requirements
MOQ
Minimum quantity by product specification
Quality Control
Sample approval and batch consistency
Lead Time
Production capacity and delivery schedule
For reference, it requres a 6,000-pair MOQ for NY1350S-ECO and 12,000 pairs for NY1850FRB-BIO, with indicative lead times of 60–120 days. Final requirements should be confirmed for each order.
Quality evaluation should assess yarn consistency, coating coverage, dimensions, and mechanical performance. Once a sample is approved, production batches should be inspected against the acceptance criteria established by the approved sample.
Why Cost Per Use is Important
The least costly unit price doesn't always mean the lowest ownership cost. We can calculate ownership cost as follows:
Cost per use = Total glove purchasing cost / Verified uses
Also consider the cost of replacement, shipping, disposal, and the effort required of employees to handle the glove.
Longer service life of a product often means lower material consumption over the life of the product, and often reduces environmental impact. However, environmental benefits should only be claimed when supported by credible data.
How NMSafety Approaches Sustainable PPE Sourcing
At NMSafety, we focus on improving the sustainability of our Eco Friendly Gloves by integrating RPET polyester, bamboo and other eco-friendly components, and reinforced cut-resistant and other features. We provide various coating and OEM customization options. For distributors and safety brands, we offer these features for industrial gloves.
When sourcing Eco-Friendly Gloves Wholesale from China, start with an intended application and required protection level, materials and production specifications.
